Christmas special!🎄🎄🎄

Dear readers, it’s been 20 days since my last post. And for that, I apologize!

Things have been hectic lately; juggling between my work, getting a bad case of flu/cold/god-knows-what, and me deciding to make christmas ornaments and decoration from scratch instead of buying some (which ended up being minimal), i didn’t really cook much 🙈 Who am I kidding I didn’t cook at all! If it weren’t for my mother in law sending us food, i think we would have had a bad case of starvation!

Aaaaaanyways, fast-forwarding to today: Christmas lunch with the family! What more could you ask for? Eating yummy food, cooked with love, until you can’t breath!!

Both my parents cook but, i have to admit, when my dad steps into the kitchen you know you are about to get something close to a revelation! ( Mom don’t underestimate your baking powers! My brother didn’t become a pastry chef by mistake or by luck!!)

Ok so antlers and mask on, nothing is going to break my spirit, not even sickness! Want proof? Sure, you got it!

How can you not feel jolly when you see a table like this one?!

The devil is in the detail! Notice the christmas lights attached to the edge of the table cloth!

Ok, time to bring out the big guns!

Menu of the day:

• Zucchini soup with garlic/herb boursin cheese. A dash of cream to sooth your soul!

• Angus beef rib eye seasoned and cooked to perfection that will take you to heaven and back!

• A side of mixed veggies steamed, mashed potatoes with black truffle shavings and a black pepper gravy that will leave you craving for more!

• And of course, what is christmas without the traditional “Yule Log” (a.k.a. bûche de Noël)

If this doesn’t scream “christmas” to you than I give up!
